U.S. President Donald Trump has renewed his public dispute with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, reiterating his claim that she requested a photograph with him during the recent G7 summit. Trump also criticized Italy stance on efforts to counter Iran nuclear ambitions, suggesting the country had not provided sufficient support for U.S.-led initiatives.

In a post shared on Truth Social on June 20, Trump alleged that Italy denied the use of its runways for American operations, describing the decision as an obstacle despite what he characterized as significant U.S. contributions to NATO defense commitments. He further argued that Meloni was attempting to strengthen relations with Washington following what he portrayed as a successful American action against Iran.

Meloni had previously dismissed Trump account, accusing him of misrepresenting the events surrounding their interaction. Concluding his latest remarks, Trump delivered a terse response to the Italian leader, writing, No thanks.
